Boston Brass Music Camp

Now in its fifth year, the Boston Brass Music Camp brings brass students an extreme music experience in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. This unique summer camp for all ages offers students a rare opportunity to learn from the renowned Boston Brass and play in concerts alongside this world-class brass quintet in an intimate setting. These performance opportunities, in conjunction with extreme outdoor experiences, develop the team building, ensemble playing and life-management skills of our students. This camp is a collaboration between the Crested Butte Music Festival, Western State Colorado University and Boston Brass

Program 
A ONE-OF-A-KIND, EXTREME BRASS MUSIC EXPERIENCE
Set in the majestic heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the Boston
Brass Music Camp stands apart from all other brass programs. Students
not only have an opportunity to learn from renowned Boston Brass
in an intimate setting, they also experience Colorado’s Extreme side
through outdoor adventures. This experience-based program promotes
skill mastery, musical growth and personal challenge in a supportive
environment.
 
For motivated middle and high school brass students looking for an
Extreme learning situation and Extreme outdoor adventure in an
Extremely beautiful setting, this program is for you. This summer’s camp
will be limited to 50 students.
 
EDUCATIONAL ELEMENTS
·         Large and small ensemble rehearsals and performances
·         Private lessons
·         Chamber ensemble coaching
·         Practice time
·         Whitewater rafting, mountain biking, hiking and indoor rock-climbing
·         Access to the new Mountaineer Field House Gym & Fitness Center
 
PROGRAM COST
·         $795 includes food, activities and double occupancy lodging
·         $635 includes food and activities, no lodging
·         10% discount for returning campers
