The Wild Chamber Music Party
Co-Artistic Director Erik Christian Peterson will lead a pre-concert discussion starting at 6 p.m.
Emily Ondracek-Peterson, violin, and friends: Dave Devine, electric guitar; Jooeun Pak, piano, Erik Christian Peterson, electronics
The Wild Chamber Music Party will present an evening of outrageously fun, moving, and inventive chamber music including the Colorado premiere of Michael Bratt’s The Wild Party, which is based on Joseph Moncure March’s 1928 book-length narrative poem. In addition to Bratt’s work, the evening will celebrate three world premieres for violin and electronics, featuring a CBMF commissioned work by Caleb Burhans, one of the most celebrated young New York composers. Dubbed “New York’s mohawked Mozart” by Time Out New York, Caleb is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer who is a founding member of Alarm Will Sound. He has been commissioned by Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Library of Congress and the Kronos Quartet.
This will be a night to remember! Emily Ondracek-Peterson (violinist and CBMF Co-Artistic Director) is joined by a host of talented friends, including Dave Devine (electric guitar), Jooeun Pak (piano) and Erik Christian Peterson (electronics).
